Velarin Labs products are manufactured in a FDA-registered facility. The facility is registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as a food facility, with registration current through December 2026. A necessary clarification:FDA registration is not FDA approval. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements, and no company can claim otherwise. Registration means the facility has filed with the agency and is subject to FDA inspection.
NSF/ANSI 455-2 certified facility. The facility holds certification to NSF/ANSI 455-2 (2024), certified January 2023 and currently valid through January 2027. That standard incorporates 21 CFR Part 111 — the federal Good Manufacturing Practice regulations for dietary supplements — along with Parts 117, 11, 1.5 Subpart L, and 1.9 Subpart O. Certification covers dry formulation, encapsulation, mixing, packaging and labeling operations, quality unit operations, and warehousing. The facility additionally holds organic certification through the Utah Department of Agriculture & Food, Halal certification through Islamic Services of America, and membership in the Natural Products Association.
How our ingredients are tested
Testing is performed by independent, third-party laboratories accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 — the international standard for testing laboratory competence. Our current labs are Ethos Analytics (Phoenix, AZ; ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation #117798) and Summit Nutritional Laboratories (Spanish Fork, UT; PJLA accreditation #75696). Here is precisely what that testing covers.
Heavy metals. Every lot is screened by ICP-MS for arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury against the limits in USP General Chapter <233>. Results are reported in parts per million against a defined daily-exposure limit.
Microbiological safety. Every lot is screened against USP <2021> and <2022> for total aerobic plate count, coliforms, yeast, and mold, with PCR or qPCR confirmation for E. coli, Salmonella species, and Staphylococcus aureus.
Botanical identity. Plant and fungal ingredients are confirmed by HPLC fingerprinting against authenticated reference material, following USP <2250> for botanical identification and USP <621> for chromatographic identity. This answers a question most buyers never think to ask: is the plant in the capsule actually the plant on the label? Adulteration and substitution are real problems in the botanical supply chain, and identity testing is how they get caught.
Potency, where we have it. For some ingredients, our certificates of analysis include quantified amounts measured against the label claim. For others, testing confirms identity and presence without quantifying the amount.

One ingredient. Simple and to the point. Caralluma has a long history of use as a food in India, which is part of why it’s generally considered well tolerated. In clinical trials, reported side effects were mostly mild and gastrointestinal — constipation, diarrhea, nausea, stomach discomfort — along with occasional skin rash. These often eased after the first week or so. No supplement causes weight loss. Sculptyx is not a substitute for changes in diet, activity, or sleep. If Sculptyx has a role, it is a minor supporting one alongside the things that actually drive body composition. Long-term safety has not been established. Trials have generally run 12 to 16 weeks, and there is no good data beyond that.
Do not take Sculptyx if you are pregnant or nursing, or if you are under 18. If you take medication for diabetes or blood pressure, or have a diagnosed medical condition, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use.

This section exists because we think the absence of certain claims is as informative as the presence of others. We don’t claim our products treat, cure, prevent, or mitigate any disease. No supplement legally can. Under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994, dietary supplements may make structure/function claims — statements about supporting the normal functioning of the body — and nothing beyond that. We don’t claim clinical validation of our finished products. No Velarin Labs product has been tested in a human clinical trial. If that changes, we’ll say so, loudly and specifically. We don’t cite ingredient studies as evidence for our products. We don’t claim our products are right for everyone. Several of our formulas contain botanicals that interact with common medications. We’d rather you talk to a pharmacist or physician than take our word for it.
